Tesla’s profit falls 43% as it starts building Optimus robots

Tesla’s profit fell 43% in the third quarter as it spent heavily on AI, robots and self-driving cars. Net income came in at $787 million, down from $1.37 billion a year earlier, according to Tesla’s third-quarter update, published on Wednesday. Revenue was flat at $28.05 billion.
