Egypt’s Bekia Raises $765,000 to Expand Digital Waste Collection Platform

Egyptian waste-management technology startup Bekia has raised $765,000 in seed funding to expand its consumer platform, introduce a new business-to-business software product and prepare for entry into another African market. The investment round was led by Madica, an Africa-focused investment programme affiliated with Flourish Ventures. Catalyst Fund, which first invested in Bekia in 2023, returned for the seed round, while Dakar-based Jambaar Capital also participated.
