Dangote Moves Into World’s Top 40 Richest as Fortune Hits $51.3 Billion

Aliko Dangote has moved into the world’s top 40 richest people after his fortune surged to $51.3 billion, according to Forbes’ real-time billionaire ranking. The jump comes as the billionaire’s Dangote Petroleum Refinery opens its landmark initial public offering (IPO) in Nigeria. The refinery is offering 4.1 billion shares at ₦525 each in what is now Africa’s biggest-ever public share sale.
