Xiaomi plans RMB 200 billion in R&D spending over the next five years

Xiaomi plans to invest RMB 200 billion in research and development over the next five years, founder and CEO Lei Jun said. Lei made the announcement while responding to a Xinhua report on Xiaomi’s technology investments , including its in-house Xring chips and electric vehicles.
