Huawei unveils Kirin 9050 Pro chip, debuts new Mate XT 2 tri-folding smartphone

Huawei unveiled the Kirin 9050 Pro on Monday at its HUAWEI Mate XT 2 product launch event. The release marks the company’s first new Kirin chip introduced at a flagship product launch in six years. The chip makes its debut in the HUAWEI Mate XT 2 Ultimate, Huawei’s new tri-folding smartphone, with the company saying that overall device performance has improved by 42% compared with the previous-generation Mate XTs.
