Ghana Minister Assures Public of Cell Site Safety Amid Connectivity Expansion

Ghana’s Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations , Hon. Samuel Nartey George, has assured the public that telecommunications cell sites are safe, as he toured digital infrastructure projects in the Eastern Region. The Minister’s September 4, 2026 tour covered sites under the Rural Telephony Project, Community Information Centres (CICs), and a new site being constructed in Koforidua under the government’s 800-site expansion programme in partnership with MTN.
