Peru’s smartphone market is becoming increasingly competitive as rising component costs put pressure on device prices and consumers become more selective about upgrades. Xiaomi led smartphone shipments in Peru during the second quarter of 2026 with a 28 percent market share, ahead of Samsung at 25 percent, according to Omdia.
