OPay has threatened legal action against three social media users accused of spreading false claims that the fintech would suspend its operations indefinitely and advising customers to withdraw their funds. The legal notices, dated August 31 and September 1, 2026, were issued to two X users and one TikTok account. Garba II, the TikTok account @viralgrabtvng, and Cute Hafserh.
