Alibaba launches next-gen Qwen3.8 with 2.4 trillion parameters

Alibaba on Monday unveiled its next-generation foundation model Qwen3.8. The model features 2.4 trillion parameters and delivers improvements in coding and professional workplace tasks (Cowork). In the recently released third-party Arena rankings, Alibaba’s Qwen model ranked second only to Anthropic’s Claude series.
