Why Google pulled its new AI feature from Google Earth

Google has rolled back the image generation feature it introduced in Google Earth less than 48 hours after launch. The company said it had seen users sharing AI-generated images that “appear to violate” its policies and that it is working on implementing stronger guardrails. In an update to its announcement, Google said: “We know that people uniquely trust Google Earth for a reliable view of the world.
