As fast as AI is advancing, the threat of deepfakes and fake content is also spreading. The government has been continuously taking steps on this issue, and now the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has taken a big decision in this direction, giving the green signal to 13 'Responsible AI' projects with the aim of identifying and stopping Deepfakes. Also, the rules for big social media platforms like Meta and X have been made more stringent than before.
