Lagos to Prosecute Cash-Paying BRT, Rail Commuters

Commuters using Lagos State’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Bus Reform Initiative (BRI), and Lagos Rail services will face arrest and prosecution if they pay fares with cash from August 1, 2026 , following an expansion of the state’s cashless fare enforcement.
