Madagascar Launches 5.5G Pilot, Becomes Fourth Country Globally to Test Technology

Madagascar has officially launched a pilot of 5.5G technology, becoming the fourth country in the world to begin testing the next-generation mobile network as it seeks to accelerate digital transformation and unlock new opportunities for innovation and economic growth. The pilot was officially launched during a press briefing hosted by Yas Madagascar in Andraharo, attended by Madagascar’s Minister of Digital Development, Posts and Telecommunications, Mahefa Andriamampiadana.
