Weak App Store protections at core of $1.8M crypto app fraud lawsuit

Users got robbed of $1.8 million by a bitcoin wallet app hosted on the App Store impersonating a legit crypto exchange. Apple tries to keep the App Store safe, but malicious apps keep slipping through. Apple has a process for conducting reviews of apps before they become available to download from the App Store.
