ODNI to CISOs on threat assessments: You’re on your own

Every year, CISOs, CSOs, and chief risk officers pore over the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI)’s Annual Threat Assessment (ATA) for insights on emerging threats they may soon face. This year, however, structural changes to the report itself underscore a foundational shift that CISOs, CSOs, and CROs must pay attention to. In March, ODNI issued its 2026 ATA , describing threats to the United States as assessed by the Intelligence Community (IC) writ large.
