Harith to acquire low-cost carrier FlySafair following Competition Commission nod

The Competition Commission of South Africa has formally recommended that the Competition Tribunal approve the proposed acquisition of domestic low-cost carrier FlySafair by the infrastructure investment firm Harith General Partners . The regulatory recommendation follows a definitive sale and purchase agreement entered into in February 2026 by Harith and its affiliates to acquire the airline. This transaction marks the conclusion of a shareholder exit process at FlySafair that had been under con
