Karnataka to set up direct social media response framework as other states step up online content enforcement

Karnataka will set up dedicated points of contact and rapid response channels between social media platforms and its Information Disorder Tackling Unit (IDTU), jointly led by the IT and Home Departments, IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge said on X. The state agreed to the framework at a consultation with the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and leading platforms.
