Tata Electronics' semiconductor facility gets ₹14,044 crore financial incentive package

India's Central and Assam governments have approved a ₹14,044 crore financial incentive package for the Tata Electronics semiconductor facility in Jagiroad, Morigaon district. Out of the total ₹27,000 crore project cost, the Centre will give ₹10,255 crore, while Assam will contribute ₹3,789 crore.The funds will help build the state's first major chip packaging plant.
