Gartner “Data center power consumption will increase by 26% in 2026… AI servers will account for 31%”

Electricity consumption in data centers worldwide is expected to increase to 565 terawatt hours (TWh) by 2026. This is a 26% increase from 447TWh in 2025. In particular, the share of AI-centric data centers in total power consumption is expected to rapidly expand.
