Alibaba Bans Employees From Using Claude Code Over Security Concerns
Alibaba has reportedly instructed its employees to stop using Anthropic’s AI coding assistant, Claude Code, in the workplace, marking the latest twist in the growing rivalry between major artificial intelligence companies. According to reports, the Chinese technology giant has classified Claude Code as high-risk software and plans to prohibit its use across internal systems starting July 10. Instead, employees have been encouraged to switch to Qoder, Alibaba’s own AI-powered coding assistant.
