Cyberattack Breaches US Homeland Security Platform

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that hackers successfully breached a critical information-sharing network used by thousands of law enforcement, federal, and private-sector partners. The compromise targeted the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN), an essential, unclassified but highly sensitive platform used daily to coordinate emergency operations, track potential public safety threats, and manage large-scale security events.
