Tencent tests TenPayGo, a WeChat pay-based app for overseas visitors

A new payment app called TenPayGo has quietly appeared on Apple’s App Store, sparking speculation that Tencent may be preparing a standalone payments product. The app is an English-language version developed by Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., but its registration and core functions are not yet publicly available. In response, Tencent said TenPayGo is an internal beta product designed as a lifestyle assistant for overseas visitors to China.
