Meta Signals Possible Entry into Cloud Computing as AI Infrastructure Bet Expands

Meta Platforms may be preparing the ground for a new cloud computing play, as CEO Mark Zuckerberg indicated that the company could monetize excess AI infrastructure capacity by offering cloud services to external businesses. Speaking at Meta’s annual shareholder meeting, Zuckerberg suggested that the Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp parent could enter the cloud computing market if its large-scale investment in AI data centres creates surplus compute capacity. The move would potentially place Met
