This startup is using AI to improve the outpatient surgery experience for everyone

Surgery is increasingly happening outside of hospitals. To save costs, Medicare is reducing the number of procedures that it will only approve if they are done in a hospital—setting the stage for private insurers to follow suit. Startup Oath Surgical emerged from stealth in May 2025 with two owned and operated outpatient clinics in Portland, Oregon, focused on using AI and high-tech surgical tools to improve the outpatient experience for both patients and surgeons.
