AI adoption at 97%… “Only 5% of companies have data ready”

As we approach mid-2026, companies are starting to see some tangible results from their AI investments. But at the same time, what many companies are realizing is that the proliferation of AI requires something that gets far less attention than flashy cutting-edge models or the latest benchmarks: clean, interoperable, and governed data. According to Dunn & Bradstreet's latest AI Momentum Survey, 97% of organizations are working on AI projects, but only 5% say they have the data to support them.
