Antropic switches to Claude agent charging… Is the era of ‘unlimited AI’ coming to an end?

There is a growing possibility that the era of nearly unlimited AI coding and agent subscriptions will virtually come to an end. Starting June 15, Antropic will separate programmatic Cloud usage from existing chat subscription limits and introduce a separate monthly credit system. The credit is charged at an API-based rate and applies to tools used in third-party frameworks such as Agent SDK, GitHub Actions, and OpenClaw, the company announced in a blog post.
