Response to AI data explosion… Five big tech companies jointly develop next-generation networking technology
OpenAI, together with major technology companies such as AMD, Broadcom, Intel, Microsoft (MS), and NVIDIA, unveiled a new protocol to solve network congestion problems. The recently released protocol ‘MRC (Multipath Reliable Connection)’ was designed to reduce bottlenecks that occur during large-scale data transmission required for AI processing. In particular, considering the extremely large model training environment utilizing more than 100,000 GPUs, we adopted a method of simultaneously distributing traffic to hundreds of network paths instead of concentrating it on a few paths.
