UP targets 500 GCCs by 2031 as LG announces Rs 634 crore investment

Uttar Pradesh is targeting more than 500 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) by 2031 to attract technology investment, expand research and development, and create high-skilled jobs. At the GCC Innovation Summit 2026 in Lucknow on Monday, LG Electronics announced plans to invest Rs 634 crore in its Eco Solutions GCC, with operations targeted to begin by the end of 2026. The IIT Kanpur Alumni Association organised the summit in collaboration with Invest UP and HCLTech.
