WHO Explores AI-for-Health Partnership With Ethiopia’s AI Institute

The World Health Organization is exploring a partnership with the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute to apply AI to disease surveillance, emergency response and primary health care in Ethiopia and across Africa. No agreement has yet been signed. A WHO delegation led by Professor Francis Chisaka Kasolo, WHO representative to Ethiopia, the African Union and UNECA, visited the institute in Addis Ababa to view its work and discuss possible collaboration.
