Audi reportedly seeks Huawei platform for next-generation A8 built in China

Audi is in talks with Huawei about developing a China-specific version of its next-generation A8 using the Chinese technology company’s vehicle architecture, Germany’s Manager Magazin reported. The proposed model would be manufactured in China rather than imported from Germany, with key development work provided by Huawei. The discussions also cover other premium vehicles, including an SUV, according to the report.
