46% struggle to measure AI performance, 43% to control costs: Splunk

Cisco’s Splunk State of Observability 2026 report brings that challenge into focus. While 85% of Indian respondents said monitoring AI workloads was a priority, 43% struggled to control AI costs, and 46% could not effectively measure workload metrics such as large language model response quality. The research surveyed 2,050 IT operations and engineering professionals across 10 countries.
