Workforce participation in advanced digital training across Sub-Saharan Africa is shifting at an unprecedented pace. According to the eighth annual Global Skills Report published by Coursera on October 19, 2026, enrolments in artificial intelligence micro-credentials and specialized courses experienced strong year-on-year growth across key regional markets. Nigeria recorded a 93% surge in AI-related micro-credentials, while Ghana registered a 95% increase.
