After ED’s WhatsApp pump-and-dump searches, Zerodha founder points investors to AI chatbots

Nithin Kamath, Zerodha founder and CEO has asked retail investors to use an AI chatbot for any stock tips they get via messaging apps, “so the next time you get a message promising easy money, just ask Claude or ChatGPT whether it’s a good idea. It could save you a lot of money,” he wrote on October 20 on X and his Substack blog. The ED just froze trading accounts holding about ₹200 crore in an alleged WhatsApp-driven pump and dump involving two listed companies.
