Proparco’s Digital Africa makes first Ethiopian investment in agritech startup ChipChip

Digital Africa, the technology-focused investment subsidiary of the French development finance institution Proparco , has executed its inaugural investment in the Ethiopian market by backing the agritech startup ChipChip. Founded in 2023, the startup focuses on digitizing and streamlining the region’s agricultural supply chain. The Technology and Market Problem ChipChip operates a digital marketplace designed to directly connect local Ethiopian farms with commercial buyers.
