Location sharing in Google Messages could soon get much more useful

If and when it rolls out, users will be able to toggle between “Default,” “Satellite,” and “Terrain” map types, as well as a real-time traffic overlay. The upgrade would make location sharing self-contained, helping users pinpoint landmarks and spot delays without leaving their chat.
