Figma Adds Design Rules and Code Tools to Guide AI Agents

Figma is introducing new tools to help companies guide how artificial intelligence agents create designs, generate code and build digital products, as the design platform expands its AI capabilities. Announced at the company’s first Config event in India, the updates include Figma Specs, a Markdown-based editor for documenting design systems, the public beta of Code Layers and deeper integration between Figma Make and Payload, the headless content management system Figma acquired last year.
