YouTube Music Adds Labels for AI-Generated Songs

YouTube Music is introducing new labels to help listeners identify songs created with generative artificial intelligence, as AI-generated tracks become increasingly common across streaming platforms. Announced on October 14, the labeling system will disclose whether AI played a role in a song’s composition, vocals or other creative elements. The labels will appear on the music player page, where listeners can access additional information about how AI was used to create a track.
