Someone got Googlebook OS running on a Chromebook, and it’s surprisingly smooth

TL;DR A Reddit user has successfully installed Googlebook OS on an ASUS Chromebook Plus, making this one of the first examples we’ve seen on existing Chromebook hardware. The experimental setup reportedly feels fast and smooth, sometimes even faster than ChromeOS, though Wi-Fi, audio, and Pixel integration are currently broken. Google has already confirmed that some newer Chromebooks will eventually support Googlebook OS, but it hasn’t provided a public rollout timeline.
