American Express Unveils AI Framework to Prevent Unauthorized Purchases

American Express has introduced a new framework designed to prevent AI agents from making purchases that customers never authorized. The system, called Intent Intelligence, captures a customer’s instructions and verifies them before an AI agent completes a transaction. It also carries those instructions through the payment process to help reduce fraud and disputes.
