Google Play Lets US Users Build Personal Android Apps in AI Studio Without a Developer Account

Google is rolling out an update to Google Play that lets users build personal Android apps with Google AI Studio and install them on their own phone using a standard Google account, according to an announcement on the Google blog. The feature is available starting today in the United States for users aged 18 and older. Google describes the process as "vibe coding" personal projects, and no developer background is required.
