Botswana Expands Rural Connectivity Through P34.5 Million Broadband Project

Botswana’s Minister of Communications and Innovation, David Tshere, has called for wider access to digital connectivity and economic opportunities in rural communities as the country marked World Post Day 2026 in Sekoma. Speaking at the event, held under the theme “One Postal Network, Infinite Possibilities,” Tshere said postal services are evolving beyond traditional mail delivery to support e-commerce, financial services, logistics and digital government services.
