Huawei files fresh “Xingmang” trademark application amid phone sub-brand speculation

Huawei has filed a new application for the Chinese trademark “Xingmang,” according to records from China’s trademark office reported on October 12. The application, numbered 93069405, is awaiting substantive examination and covers Class 9 products including smartphones, laptops, smartwatches, smart glasses, headphones and integrated-circuit chips. Huawei’s earliest application for the name dates to April 2019.
