XPENG names robotaxi service YOYO and opens invitation-based registration in China

XPENG announced XPENG YOYO as the brand for its robotaxi business on October 8 and opened online registration to users in China through invitation codes. The move expands access beyond employee testing as the company prepares for broader operations. The robotaxi uses four XPENG-developed Turing AI chips with a combined computing capacity of 3,000 TOPS and runs the company’s VLA 2.0 model without lidar or high-definition maps.
