Tesla has renamed its Full Self-Driving software to Tesla Assisted Driving across its European websites, addressing concerns that the previous name overstated the system’s capabilities as the company seeks wider regulatory approval across the region. The change follows discussions with Germany’s transport ministry, which argued that the original name could mislead drivers into believing the software could operate a vehicle without human supervision.
