Microsoft Teams Will Add Third-Party Deepfake Detection and Impersonation Warnings to Meetings in November

Microsoft is preparing to add support for third-party deepfake detection tools and a new impersonation protection feature to Microsoft Teams meetings, according to two new entries on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap. Both features are listed as in development, and Microsoft plans to reach general availability in November after a worldwide rollout. The deepfake detection itself will not come from Microsoft.
