Google opens SynthID web tool to the public for AI verification

In an effort to increase transparency around artificial intelligence, Google has officially made its SynthID Detector available to the general public . Accessible via a dedicated website ( synthid.com ), the free tool allows anyone to verify whether an image, video, or audio clip was generated or altered using AI. While the tool is completely free to use, visitors must log in using an existing Google, Apple, or OpenAI account to access the detection interface.
