Apple Smart Home Push Expands With LG Partnership

Apple is preparing a broader push into the smart home through a partnership with LG Electronics that will bring a new range of connected accessories to its ecosystem. The companies are developing a smart doorbell, thermostat and deadbolt lock, alongside indoor, outdoor and floodlight security cameras, according to people familiar with the project. The devices are being designed to work with Apple’s upcoming smart home hub, as well as an updated HomePod mini and new Apple TV hardware.
