Dutch optician drops Ray-Ban Meta glasses; India’s privacy law still has no answer for the person being filmed

Hans Anders, one of the largest optical chains in the Netherlands, has indefinitely stopped selling Ray-Ban Meta glasses in its stores and online in the Netherlands and Belgium. A spokesperson told Fashion Network that the decision stemmed from the public and political debate over smart glasses and the conditions under which they can be used. The same glasses have been available in India since May 2025.
