VSMC Opens Flagship 300mm Wafer Fab in Singapore

VIS and NXP joint venture inaugurates Tampines semiconductor plant following successful sample yields ahead of 2027 commercial production. VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC)—the joint venture established in September 2024 by Taiwan’s Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) and Dutch chipmaker NXP Semiconductors—has officially opened its first 12-inch (300mm) wafer fab in Tampines, Singapore.
