India’s Bitchat ban highlights two key issues

The government of India has blocked Bitchat from the Apple App store, Google Play Store and apparently ordered ISPs to block its website. The removal of Bitchat from the app stores should tell you two separate things: First, that the government of India acts with impunity and does whatever it wants, never mind the lawfulness of its actions. It is a law unto itself and has zero consideration for the constitutionality of those orders.
